Morag, You’re a

Long Time Deid

Sam, Morag’s Canadian granddaughter, inherits not only a piano but also the mystery of her Scottish granny’s queerness. This experimental musical playfully warps, disrupts and reconfigures traditional Scottish ballads to tell old stories anew.

This dynamic, experimental musical is a love letter to ancestors who "didn't fit" that playfully warps, disrupts and reconfigures traditional Scottish ballad singing. Audiences are invited on a journey where original compositions are interwoven with electronic loops to tell old stories anew.

“Blessed with a Highland-spring-clear, ethereal voice, lead performer Claire Love Wilson is as adept at singing transcendent Celtic ballads as confessional Joanna Newsom-esque indie-pop”
- Janet Smith (Stir Arts & Culture)

“Morag, You’re a Long Time Deid is a special show that breaks the barrier between concert, performance art, and musical theater. It is new and experimental, and definitely knows that”
- Alexa Tarrayo (Permanent Rain Press)
