In The Wings: Into The Long Green Jaws
Performances:
Monday 26 Aug - Mull Theatre
Wednesday 28 Aug - Knockvologan
By artists and musicians Fergus Hall and Sarah McWhinney
The ocean is one of our most undiscovered eco-systems, brimming with folklore and mystery, interlinked with human survival.
Into the Long Green Jaws brings together elements of ambient improvised music, installation, performance art, puppetry and storytelling. We explore the concept of deep time in relation to the coastal environments’ formation, erosion and pollution.
Interspersed with archival recordings, we pose the question, “If the sea feeds you, why not feed the sea?”
Cello and fiddle melodies layer up with watery gurgles from the depths of the ocean, to wash over the ears and take us on an underwater journey.
