Award-winning author Angus Peter Campbell joins us to read from and talk about his Mull-based novel ‘The Girl on the Ferryboat’, which was simultaneously published in Gaìdhlig as ‘An Nighean air an Aiseag’. The reading will be followed by a Q&A.
Angus Peter is from South Uist but spent his teenage years on the Isle of Seil with a good few Muileachs in his classes at Oban High School, where he was taught by the legendary Iain Crichton Smith.
His poetry collection Aibisidh (Birlinn, 2011) won the Scottish Poetry Book of the Year Award and his novel ‘Memory and Straw’ the Scottish Fiction Book of the Year in 2017. Angus is probably better known to younger audiences as Neilly Beag in the popular TV adaptation of Màiri Hedderwick's Katie Morag books!
