Broken Chanter is the stage name of Glaswegian songwriter David MacGregor. The former principal songwriter of Scottish Alt-Pop darlings Kid Canaveral (who also graced the stage at An Tobar) started making music as Broken Chanter in 2019 with his eponymous debut (“A stunning, stately debut” – The Skinny), and followed it with the award-winning ‘Catastrophe Hits’ in late 2021 (“Truly magnificent” – Is This Music?).

Expect an evening of loud, life-affirming music, instilling a belief that, through collective action, better things are indeed possible.
