Tenor Takahiro Sasaki and pianist Max Mostovetski, hailing from Germany, are making their way to Mull to retrace Mendelssohn's Scottish journey. Alongside the "Six Scottish Folk Songs," they'll perform compositions from their Leipzig roots, where Mendelssohn spent the bulk of his days.

Leipzig, the city that breathed inspiration into Mendelssohn through the whispers of Schumann and the later influence of Grieg, shall also be in their repertoire. Schumann's and Grieg's pieces will join the mix, like old friends meeting on familiar ground, as the duo pays homage to the masters who once walked those Leipzig streets.
