Are you passionate about the arts and eager to make a meaningful impact? An Tobar and Mull Theatre is on the lookout for dynamic, skilled, and visionary individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a trustee, you will help steer our creative direction and ensure we continue to bring enriching cultural experiences to the Isle of Mull and beyond.
About Us
An Tobar and Mull Theatre is a vibrant multi-art form creative hub and a Creative Scotland Regularly Funded Organisation, based on the Hebridean Isle of Mull. The only producing arts organisation in the Hebrides, we are
dedicated to creating and presenting a diverse range of touring work and amplifying island voices nationally and internationally. Through theatre, visual arts, and music, An Tobar and Mull Theatre connects local and global
audiences with Scotland’s evolving cultural heritage.
What We’re Looking For
Our trustees are essential critical friends, who help shape the strategic direction and governance of An Tobar and Mull Theatre. We’re seeking individuals with expertise in any of the following areas to bring fresh
perspectives and robust skills to our board:
• Finance
• Legal Expertise
• Community Partnership Building
• HR Skills
• Reputation Management/PR
• Marketing
• Gaelic Culture
• Strong connections to Mull and the surrounding islands
Your Role as a Trustee
As a trustee, you’ll:
• Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in strategic sessions
• Provide governance and strategic oversight to guide our mission
• Support fundraising, advocacy, and audience engagement efforts
• Help shape the future of our organisation through innovative thinking and leadership

Remuneration
Trustee roles are voluntary, but we will cover reasonable travel and accommodation expenses for key meetings.
