Ewan Macintyre

A natural performer and band leader, Ewan combines lush string arrangements, intimate acoustic storytelling and thought provoking lyrics with a fun, bombastic sensibility and showmanship.

He delivers a transatlantic, soul/folk inspired show, combining influences of 70’s soul, traditional Scottish trad and Bluegrass. A second generation puppeteer, and musician, Ewan broke in his music with shows across Canada and Europe since 2015 and prior to that as ex-lead singer of award winning Edinburgh collective Southern Tenant Folk Union, psychedelic funk outfit Ruby & The Emeralds and with live and recorded theatre works. He has toured with his group in Art centres, festivals, village halls and House Concerts as part of various touring circuits and has previously been awarded funding by Canada Arts Council and Creative Scotland.
